the Wanderling

The following paragraph, found on the original page of the full article below, is
the one we are interested in and attested to by the woman who e-mailed me:

"Have been somewhat bugged recently by letters from fellow- subscriber - (?)
Alfred Pulyan, who alleges himself a Zen Master and insists on enlightening
me no matter what I say about it.- I've written him I've probably already been
enlightened and now I 'm doing something else, but the idea doesn't seem to
transmit well. Mr. P. is in the minority. He wants to do it for nothing."-----------

PULYAN'S TEACHER
A FEMALE RAMANA WITHOUT A MOUNTAIN

Fundamentally, our experience as experienced is not different from the Zen master's. Where
we differ is that we place a fog, a particular kind of conceptual overlay onto that experience
and then make an emotional investment in that overlay, taking it to be "real" in and of itself.
