MORE ON THE CONTINUING SAGA...

IN A SERIES OF CONTINUING EMAILS REGARDING EDWARD MUZIKA THE FOLLOWING IS BEING PRESENTED FOR YOUR OWN EDIFICATION, AGAIN FROM OUR OLD PAL B.F.:

Hello,

I noticed that you posted my email on your blog with some justifications how to recognize someone who is enlightened. Well, quotes no matter by whom don't cut it, that's just talk. Since you have a high regard of Robert as I do too I'd like to send you this quote by Ed Muzika which he posted on his blog on 9-11-2016:

"[...] However, old habits die hard, and [Nisargadatta] Maharaj visited prostitutes after his wife died, and Robert became a notorious womanizer, both, I think, trying to overcome periods of emptiness or boredom. [...]"

My comment to this: Ed is apparently projecting his own feelings of emptiness and boredom on those who are, contrary to him, really Self-realized. I hardly doubt it that Nisargadatta Maharaj went to prostitutes and that Robert was "womanizing", Muzika cannot for sure know about the prostitutes, so to repeat that rumor or gossip is very bad style and hints to an agenda of his.

AND, somebody who is enlightened is feeling empty and is getting bored??? "Who" is getting bored? There is nobody there to get bored! Reading Muzika's BS on his blog I wonder if he's grasped Robert at all. It doesn't look like it.

Also, Muzika's interpretation of Sri Ramana's Self-Inquiry is incorrect with his suggestion to focus on a certain part of the body. That's BS again. It is, how David Godman explained it so candidly in one of his interviews (with Maalok), "cargo-cult Self-Inquiry" which will absolutely not lead to Self-realization.

Muzika is distorting not only the teachings of Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi, but also Nisargadatta's and his own teacher's Robert who must have known already back in the 90's that Muzika would end up as a fake guru.

Anyway,

B.F.

W Responds:

Taken to its finality then, would it be a given that words classically attributed to the Sutras or Bodhidharma carry no weight, i.e., just talk, but those quoted by others from or about others do?

Ahhhh, but David Godman though --- a favorite to be sure. His works are among the best. Pages that have been written by me are some of the few in all of Godman's works that he shows a willingness to link back to. An example can be found in an area of strong interest to both Godman and me, linked thus:

The observations of B.F. does cast a light in a direction that he is on to something. Going back over all of Muzika's works comparing this or that is something that is of no interest to me. According to outside observers, and of which one example is presented by me on the Muzika page, my approach and Muzika's have never been close --- even though the end results may have been aimed in a similar or like direction. In a quick overview there appears however, a sort of metamorphosis in his current direction as time has continued to flow, a narrowing or hardening of what he seems to offer these days. Odd as well that all the years he has been around his name still hasn't shown up on Sarlo. Returning to the email, B.F. writes:

AND NOW PROSTITUTES, ET AL:

"Hui-k'o, the Second Patriarch of Zen passed on the bowl and robe to his successor, the Third Patriarch, Seng-ts'an, signifying the Transmission of the Dharma. Hui-k'o, who had received the seal of approval from Bodhidharma himself, then went everywhere drinking and carousing around like a wildman and partaking in the offerings of the brothel districts. When people asked how he could do such a thing, being a Patriarch of the Zen school and all, he would respond with: 'What business is it of yours?'"
